A Van Halen cover band says that if the real Van Halen is too “burnt out” and too old to finish their postponed tour dates … they are more than happy to take over.
Van Halen (the real one) cancelled the remainder of their 2012 touron Friday, saying they needed to “re-charge their engines.” They will be offering refunds for all the disappointed fans.
Joe — who plays guitar in the Van Halen Army, a popular VH tribute band — tells TMZ, “They have an obligation to fulfill … somebody signs up to do the job they should complete it. Concerts these days cost a lot of money, they can’t let the fans down … they need to fulfill their end of the deal.”
Joe also says, “We could easily do it — our singer sounds exactly like David Lee Roth!”

Looks like hell officially froze over … Nicolas Cage, his baby mama and their alleged wife-beating son all hung out together for FUN on Monday night … which NEVER happens.
Weston Cage had a gig with his metal band at Whiskey a-Go-Go in Hollywood … when surprisingly his mom — Christina Fulton — and famous dad showed up to cheer him on … even though the family is as functional as the Greek economy.
But this time was different … the happy fam snapped a pic (above) … and we’re told no one got hurt.
So, we recapped some of their past hobnobs … just to see how far they’ve come.
– Nic Cage and baby-mama Fulton hit up a courthouse to settle a nasty $13-mil lawsuit – Nic tells TMZ “I hope Ms. Fulton will come to her senses one day and get some help.” – Nic sends an employee to hunt down Weston … who then beats the crap out of him. – Weston is taken for a “mental evaluation,” but his mom is banned from the hospital. – Fulton tries to get conservatorship of Weston … against his wishes. – Weston tells TMZ “I want no contact with Christina Fulton and will never undergo the torment she put me through ever again.”

Young Buck is in SERIOUS trouble — the rapper has been evicted from his Tennessee mansion … AND the I.R.S is still on his ass for more than $300k in unpaid taxes.
TMZ has learned … the former G-Unit rapper was ordered to vacate his 5,000 square foot home by May 16th.
The details surrounding the eviction are unclear — however, court docs show the judge in Buck’s bankruptcy case signed off on the sale of the house … and ordered that the proceeds go towards paying off his massive $333,975.69 debt to Uncle Sam.
Sources tell us … the rapper — who bought the house in 2004 — was spotted earlier this week carrying boxes and removing all of his stuff from the residence.
It’s just the latest in a sad series of problems for the rapper … who filed for bankruptcy back in 2010 … and was SHOT AT 11 TIMES back in March.
We reached out to Buck for comment — so far, no response.

Lindsay Lohan‘s finally looking the part — trying on some crucial Elizabeth Taylor-inspired outfits for her new movie … and TMZ has obtained pics of the wardrobe action.
Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, the actress is dead set on nailing Liz Taylor in her upcoming Lifetime movie “Liz and Dick” — so she’s spending countless hours trying to pick out the PERFECT outfits for the role.
We’re told Lindsay has final say on all wardrobe decisions for the film and has been giving major input into how to perfect Liz’s looks.
As we reported, Lindsay’s been obsessing over Liz trying to get into the Hollywood legend’s head, studying her constantly for the last few months.
The photos were snapped earlier this week during a wardrobe fitting. The first outfit was selected to recreate a famous photo shoot from Elizabeth’s teenage years. The second is based on a Valentino dress Liz once wore.
“Liz and Dick” is scheduled to start shooting next month.

The new Jesse McCartney horror flick “Chernobyl Diaries” is a slap in the face to the 400,000 victims of the real-life nuclear disaster … so says a Chernobyl recovery organization.
For those unfamiliar with the Chernobyl disaster … (shame on you if you’re one of them) … scores of people were killed or disfigured when the nuclear power plant exploded in the Ukraine in 1986.
Now, the Friends of Chernobyl Centers U.S. tells TMZ … it’s furious with the plot of the new movie — in which several people who were mutated in the blast hunt down unwitting tourists.
“It is terrible that such a tragic event as Chernobyl is being sensationalized in a Hollywood horror film,” a rep for the org tells us.
“Thousands of people have died and over 400,000 people were evacuated from their homes. Today over 5 million people still live on contaminated land. The horror is not mutants running around, the real horror is the effect that Chernobyl continues to have on the lives of millions who have been devastated physically, emotionally and economically.”
The rep adds, ” If you feel compelled to go see this movie, take the adrenalin you get from the horror to go do something good and make a difference in the lives of those still living with Chernobyl every day.”

Tim Tebow posed for a photo backstage with cast members of the Broadway music “Rock Ages” … and then asked for that photo to be taken off Twitter … this according to one of the cast members.
Neka Zang posted the pic (see above) on her Twitter account at some point last night — and even posted a photo of the whole cast Tebowing.
But the photo with Tebow was gone a short time later … which she explained by tweeting, “Well, Due to Tebow’s “image” I was asked to remove the pic of him with us half dressed ladies. He does know we arn’t real strippers right?”
She went on to say, “Tweeps. I’m not mad, or judging. Just letting u all know I took the pic down. Ok. Thanks.”

Robin Gibb, one-third of the legendary group the Bee Gees, died Sunday after a long battle with cancer. He was 62.
His spokesperson released a statement that reads, “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
Gibb was diagnosed two years ago with colon and liver cancer. He had been hospitalized several times in the last few years, most recently last month with pneumonia.
Gibb was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994 and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three years later.
The soundtrack album to “Saturday Night Fever” was the top-selling album until Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” took the title.

Legendary singer Al Jarreau canceled a concert this evening in Escondido, CA … TMZ has learned.
Jarreau was scheduled to perform at The Centre at Lexus Escondido, but the concert hall said Jarreau would not be performing because he was ill. A source close to the situation told TMZ he was taken to the hospital, but the concert hall would not confirm.
The entire concert was not canceled — George Duke, who is also on the bill, will still perform.
Jarreau, who is 72, has won 6 Grammys … including one was recent as 2007… and nominated for 12 more.
Calls to Jarreau’s rep were not returned.
UPDATE 7:30 PM PT — A second source tells TMZ … Jarreau was taken to nearby Palomar Medical Center.

Whitney Houston‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, didn’t speak long at tonight’s BIllboard Music Awards — but she described herself as being “blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life.”
Bobbi Kristina — in her first major public appearance since her mother’s passing – took the stage to accept the Millennium Award after performances by John Legend and Jordan Sparks. During Sparks’ rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” the camera cut to a crying Bobbi Kristina multiple times.
Bobbi Kristina was joined on stage by Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, Pat Houston, who spoke briefly before turning the microphone over to Bobbi Kristina.
